 About Me 

Background

Being born in Brazil to a German mom and Brazilian dad, I grew up speaking German and Brazilian Portuguese. After moving to Las Vegas as a child, I actually learned English as my first literate language, resulting in me speaking all three languages fluently, both in reading, writing and speaking.

After graduating from a German school in Brazil, with both a Brazilian and German high school diploma, I moved to Germany to complete my first bachelor's degree. I graduated with a BA in Media Studies, Theater Studies and American Studies from the Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg in 2019. 

​

Following my graduation, I decided to take a break from studying, moving to Australia on a Working Holiday Visa and working as a stablehand at the racetrack and waitress for a year. I ended up falling in love with the country and decided to further persue my education at the University of the Sunshince Coast. I graduated with my second bachelor's degree in Journalism and Communication, with a minor in Criminology, in 2023.

After taking part in multiple internships and projects over the years, I currently work as a part-time journalist for The Sentinel Newspaper - Moreton Bay and Somerset Region.

Interests and Skills

I have always been a very creative person and this love for creating things resulted in me taking in interest in a wide range of topics and fields. Some of these interests are very obvious and are reflected in this portfolio, such as web design, photography, feature writing, blogging and designing social media content, which are related to me degrees. However, in addition to these I have also pursued my interest in different areas which require my creative eye, such as event management, marketing, interior design and landscaping, painting and even modelling.

 

My curiosity has also led me to explore areas of criminology and psychology. Due to a high passion for film and television, I also gained some experience in visual storytelling, film editing, script writing, acting and theater production. This interest I have for movies/TV shows, criminology and psychology spilled onto my academic research, with all my papers being about one or more of these topics.

Having such a large range of interest has allowed me to acquire various skills, some through workshops, some through work experience, some through university and some through personal trial and error at home projects.
